PLATE IPlug-ins and utilities for Retail Pro 8, 9 and Prism — and migration of the customizations you already depend on.

The practice

Customization

We build plug-ins and utilities for Retail Pro 8 and Retail Pro 9, and we migrate the customizations you already depend on when the host system moves underneath them.

When it comes to customization work we have an advantage that is difficult to acquire any other way. Alongside a working understanding of retail, shipping, accounting, logistics and legacy system integration, our founder spent ten years as Sr. Systems Architect for Retail Pro International — doing hands-on development on Retail Pro 8 and Retail Pro 9, and writing the initial version of their Prism RPS REST server from scratch.

We hold Retail Pro certifications for Prism Systems Engineer and Applications Expert. In practice that means the answer to "can Retail Pro do this?" is usually a specific yes or a specific no, delivered in one conversation rather than after a discovery phase.

Whether it is joining a project already under way or starting a new one, we will work in the language and environment you need.

Questions we are actually asked

Do you work on Retail Pro 8 and 9, or only Prism?

All three. We do hands-on development against Retail Pro 8, Retail Pro 9 and Retail Pro Prism, and we migrate existing customizations from the older versions to Prism.

What are your Retail Pro credentials?

Retail Pro Prism certified Systems Engineer and Applications Expert. Our founder was Sr. Systems Architect at Retail Pro International for ten years and wrote the first version of the Prism RPS REST server.

Can you join a project that is already under way?

Yes. We will work in whatever development language and environment the project already uses rather than asking you to adopt ours.
